    Job Purpose and Impact

    The Quality system & compliance Specialist, will establish, maintain and audit procedures in support of leadership in order to assure compliance with all federal, state, existing regulatory and company quality systems. In this role, you will support a moderately complex facility by reviewing third party certifications and preparing responses to customer or inspection questions, reports and complaints arising from quality and food or product safety inspections.

    Key Accountabilities

  • Promote food or product safety awareness across the factory to develop the competencies of plant professionals and assist others in topics related to food or product safety, hazard analysis and critical control points.
  • Assist others on topics related to food or product safety by training, coaching and mentoring new team members on food or product safety procedures.
  • Define and update the specific quality procedures, instruction and tools which are directly related to food and product safety.
  • Conduct daily inspections of the plant for each of the critical control points and monitoring zones to ensure all monitors adhere to the written food or product safety programs.
  • Assist in the completion of internal and external, safety and quality audits including closing gaps in production and maintenance across a location with moderate complexity and identify and proactively address basic risk areas.
  • Handle basic issues and problems under direct supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.

  • Qualifications:

    Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • Experience with email, spreadsheet, presentation and word processing applications
  • Other minimum qualifications may apply
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Process methodology certification
  • Knowledge of regulations in the food or product manufacturing industry
  • Fluent in French and English
