POSITION OVERVIEW
The role requires a cross-functional and high-level oversight of enhancements to existing and new functionality.

The Slate Administrator will create new initiatives that support the overall enrollment goals of the university and move the institution forward in achieving its targets.

The postholder must be able to think critically and creatively about how the Slate platform can be used to increase efficiencies and provide a more holistic experience to students, parents, and counselors to achieve enrollment goals, and be adaptable, growth minded, and able to work with a diverse team of individuals with varying technological knowledge.

This position is based in the United States, and works from home.


JOB DESCRIPTION

Main Duties and Responsibilities
The main duties and responsibilities of the role will include, but may not be limited to:

  • Coordination with colleagues in Admissions (Paris and US Offices) to execute all recruitment, and admissions solutions through Slate, including but not limited to process, workflow, and communications designed to enroll talented and diverse students.
  • Daily troubleshooting to ensure the Slate platform is supporting all admissions and recruitment work, including the development of a process to record and address all issues
  • Daily administration and support of the Slate platform including but not limited to managing user setup, profiles and roles, permissions, customization of objects, fields, record types, page layouts, etc.
  • Designing and implementing new portals for various audiences, as well as maintenance and enhancements as necessary to existing portals.
  • Creating reports using queries and data collected within Slate platform to support all Admissions needs, including maintaining and enhancing existing dashboards based on the needs of the users and their specific requirements.
  • Ensuring data integrity in core systems as well as maintaining the processes to support the quality of data.
  • Documenting all procedures.
  • Serving as the primary technical liaison and University's project manager with integration vendors/partners.
  • Serving as the primary liaison to our Slate vendor. Implementing and testing new functionalities as released by the vendor. Managing all updates, including patches and fixes.
  • Participating in crossfunctional teams to address complex business or systems issues as the owner of technical aspects of the platform. Interacting with stakeholder departments to streamline and curate the prearrival online process via Slate, acting as the primary liaison for Slate CRM and operationsrelated functions with all stakeholders across campus.
  • Completion of all annual cycle prep work for undergraduate and graduate admissions based on required deadlines.
  • Monitoring and evaluating how staff use Slate to determine how it can be used more effectively to meet business needs.
  • Working closely with staff who perform various roles within Admissions to understand their needs, assess their skill level, and develop training and resources that meet various learning requirements.
  • Establishing and implementing processes within Slate to effectively meet program requirements and ensure the most streamlined and efficient processes to support all routes of enrollment to AUP.
  • Conducting ongoing analysis of business processes, making recommendations, and delivering solutions that align with the overall unit goals.
  • Gathering, analyzing, preparing, and summarizing recommendations of process and procedural documentation, and implementing approved changes.
  • Engaging in online (Slate Festival) and inperson (Slate Summit) training with followup presentations and reports to all relevant colleagues.
  • Performing other jobrelated duties as assigned or directed.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

  • Working knowledge of higher education processes to inform technology strategy.
  • Ability to use systems and software to gather, analyze and communicate findings.
  • Ability to effectively troubleshoot and solve technical problems that affect operations.
  • Ability to serve as a project management lead.
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team with varying levels of leadership on campus.
  • Ability to communicate clearly, negotiate, listen, mitigate conflict, build alliances and achieve desired results using strong interpersonal and diplomatic skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate technical details to nontechnical staff in an understandable way.
  • Ability to work with mínimal supervision.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Systems Management, or Information Technology with one to three years of experience in data or CRM systems.
