Description

As Project Manager in our Catering Systems Division, you will hold the overall responsibility of project management in assigned new building projects.

Additionally you will also hold the following specific responsibilities:

  • Ensure that assigned projects are delivered with the best possible result (quality, delivery time, cost and resources)
  • Leading and managing the project team from project startup until project delivery
  • Planning and scheduling the project together with the project team on regular basis.
  • Control and report project progress and financial status as per ALMACO internal process
  • Reporting project progress as agreed with the customer.
  • Handling customer contacts during project
  • Managing variation and change orders towards customer and subcontractors together with the project team.
  • Proactive risk analysis, risk management and risk mitigation in all project phases
  • Ensure, control, and monitor that all project activities are complied with.
  • Applicable HSE related laws, rules, and regulations
  • ALMACO Quality standards and applicable specifications
  • Project and customer specific requirements and standards by qualified team members
  • Local legislation of the project site(s) country/countries as specified in sales phase.
  • Ensure that nonconformities at each stage of the project are being observed, recorded and corrective actions are taken.
  • Ensure that the project related activities and QHSE topics are regularly reviewed and updated together with the project team.
  • Is responsible for relevant HSEQ communication to all project stakeholders, both in the office and on site, including internal and external members, customers, contractors, external resources, etc.
To be successful in this position, you will need to have:

  • Adequate professional requirements
  • Technical or naval architecture education including leadership studies.
  • Minimum 5 years of project or construction manager work experience
  • Good knowledge of Marine and Offshore shipbuilding industry is an advantage, especially project site management skills and related rules and regulations.
  • Occupational safety training
  • High level competency of contracts and financials
  • Skills in project planning, delegating, and organizing.
  • Leadership, negotiation, communication, and team building skills.
  • Good command of written and spoken English
  • Good knowledge of MS Office Programs including MS Project
  • Good knowledge of Auto-Cad and ERP
