    About the role

    The Altéa Engineering division, part of the Travel Unit, is accountable for the optimal delivery of the technology and solutions required to achieve the Altéa business objectives. The group encompasses under the same umbrella several domains and a large set of activities: Offer, Order, Traveler Touchpoints & Experience, Services, and Transversal Engineering.

    One key mission of the Altéa Engineering group is to enable and support our customers in the retailing transformation and to deliver our Airline Retailing Vision.

    As part of the Altéa Engineering division, the User Experience team's mission is to deliver first-class solutions to our customers, to help them drive their innovation and offer memorable experience to their travelers.

    As an UX Researcher, you have a deep understanding of both qualitative and quantitative research methods, knowing how to use these methods to support the entire product/service design cycle, from product/service definition, design process, to UX solutions evaluation/tracking, as well as digital context.

    You will be part of the UX team working closely with Product Managers/owners, UX researchers, UX and UI designers.

    Your main responsibilities

    UX Strategy

  • Work with Product Management, customers to develop a product vision by influencing, the scope and direction from a UX /user centric point of view.
  • Contributes to define the User Experience Strategy of a product or service by understanding business context, product strategy, customer values and brand vision.
  • Foster innovation by initiating brainstorming sessions, putting in place processes and methodologies around innovation, and by working with transversal innovation teams.
  • Plan UX Research

  • Analyze and refine product / project stakeholders' UX related requests and needs
  • Set up research objectives (with PM) & help PM defining project approach and user experience strategy
  • Define the UX research scope & applicable methods, including identifying the target users & participant profile and driving participant recruitment (either directly or by outsourcing)
  • Involve the project/product team (PM, UX Designers, DEV) by organizing UX Research kick-off and follow-up meetings as needed
  • Facilitate workshops with key stakeholders to drive strategic direction and consensus based on user-centered approaches
  • Define, plan and conduct both qualitative and quantitative projects, using the most appropriate methodologies based on the objectives of the project.
  • Methodology experience should include but are not limited to: In-depth interviews, Focus groups & co-creation workshops with users, contextual inquiry/Field research, Exploratory surveys, Heuristic evaluations & UX audits, usability studies, A/B testing and analytics analysis, etc
  • Based on research findings

  • Demonstrate proficiency in using research findings to deliver actionable insights for stakeholders (PM/PO/UX) to make informed decisions on the product/service.
  • Deliver key UX artifacts, including but not limited to: Personas, empathy maps, journey maps, experience maps and storyboarding, UX blueprints
  • Evangelize UCD (User Centered Design) by presenting research findings to the wider team and helping them connect their work to the users
  • Work closely with stakeholders to inject research findings into the project and future roadmaps as needed
  • About our ideal candidate

  • 5+ years of experience on user experience research. Experience on a wide spectrum of digital products and services including B2C, B2B, and innovation, and/or travel industry is a strong plus.
  • Experienced with research techniques including field studies, contextual interviews, participatory design, card sorting, surveys, formative and summative usability testing, comparative usability testing, etc.
  • Strong analytical and excellent communication skills in English.
  • Enjoy working in an international, fast-paced team environment
  • Fluent in English
