Project Finance Manager », located in Nantes (44) or Paris (75).

Your mission:

As Project Finance Manager, you will contribute to the creation of the Project Finance team.

Reporting to the CFO, your role will help support the development of Lhyfe's mission by building excellent relationships with our financial partners and structuring and managing project finance packages for our green hydrogen production projects in France and internationally.


Main tasks and responsibilities:

  • Assess, advise, structure and execute all project financing. In collaboration with the relevant group departments, you will negotiate and set up contracts and framework agreements with financial partners and their advisors (legal, technical and insurance), you will manage due diligence processes for project / portfolio debt and equity project financing, you will lead and execute senior debt, mezzanine debt and equity investments, and you will structure hedging solutions and necessary guarantees around projects;
  • Lead the periodic updating of financial models and collaborate with different members of the team and industry experts to develop appropriate assumptions. You will check the consistency of main indicators (profitability, CAPEX, OPEX, gearing, margin, etc.), anticipate systemic risks (increase in rates, CAPEX, etc.), develop a detailed knowledge of the tax guidelines with the support of the dedicated department, and participate in the improvement of available tools;
  • Ensure monitoring and execution of financing of projects under construction and in operation, evaluate and lead refinancing when necessary;
  • Lead project acquisitions and divestments, in close coordination with business development and legal teams
  • Prepare and present project memos and strategy analysis to decisionmaking bodies (ExCo, Investment Committee);
  • Develop and maintain capital markets related intelligence.

Skills and requirements:


You will have a minimum of 10 years' experience in Finance, M&A, or Banking or another function that has transferable skills, with strong financing experience in the energy industry.


You will have the ability to prioritise multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment and prove resilient in face of challenges.

You have strong self-starter qualities and the ability to lead a process/ transaction, in a full teamwork spirit.
