A vacancy for a DATA SCIENTIST M/F has arisen within Airbus Helicopters in Marignane. The successful applicant will join Airbus Helicopters (AH) Digital Acceleration Office (DAO).
The Digital Acceleration Office
is part of the Company Transformation Department working to develop technologies bridging the gap between research and business.
We work in a uniquely collaborative model across Airbus Group and throughout all levels of our internal customers whether they are manufacturing, quality, support, finance, engineering, HR or Marketing and Sales.
Our team aims at using the latest technological capabilities to solve Airbus Business problems or improve the way we design, produce and support our Helicopters and Services. That means that Advanced Analytics, Artificial Intelligence, 3D Additive Manufacturing, Virtual reality, Augmented Reality, Mixed reality and IoT are the technologies we leverage on a day to day basis.
Your role as part of the Digital Acceleration Office is as follows:
1/ Support the Business in their Artificial Intelligence Projects
You will translate the real world problems expressed by the business into an appropriate quantitative context and develop models that solve these issues.
The goal is to combine innovative skills in (applied) mathematics, stochastics and statistics, computer science, numerical mathematics, artificial intelligence, and machine learning to reduce our production costs, improve lead-time and quality of our products and services, among some? You will deliver tasks in coordination with the multi-functional project team taking into consideration time, resources and quality.
You will get support from the AI experts in the DAO team and from the global Airbus AI community.2/ Community of Practice
You will help animate and lead the Artificial Intelligence existing Community of Practice: proposing technical content, events, organising projects with the Group, with schools, startups or other third entities.
The objective of the CoP is to develop AH Data Scientists' expertise and learn from each other in a positive environment.
You ensure the Community acquires specific knowledge and incorporates such knowledge in technical reports, specifications and product-related processes.
You will continuously train yourself to support ongoing projects, enable AH AI community to grow and ensure a constant connection with the Group on all aspects of AI.
3/ AH Artificial Intelligence Ambition
You will contribute to the definition, structuring and deployment of the Artificial Intelligence Plan. You will help define the bricks to be deployed within AH in order to reach our AI ambition.
The AI plan includes all aspects to develop that competency within AH:
from tools selection, including training up to organisational aspects.
Optional:
You may deliver publications, lectures, technical reports and specifications.

Skills and experience
You have in-depth knowledge of computer science, programming languages, automated systems and the development of AI algorithms has no secrets for you.
Educated to a degree in artificial intelligence
Experience within deep learning technologies
Experience with deep learning robustness techniques (formal methods, uncertainty quantification,...)
Experience with Artificial Intelligence or Machine Learning algorithm development for scene perception and computer vision
Proficiency in Python, R, PySpark et SQL
English level:
fluent or negotiation level
A minimum professional experience of 5 years
