A vacancy for a
Lead Solution Architect (M/F) has arisen within
Airbus Helicopters Marignane or Donauwörth.


You will join the
IM (Information Management) Directorate integrating the E2E PLM
(Product Lifecycle Management) domain in charge of all digital solutions for Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering & Support Engineering.

You will report to the Head of the domain in a context of Process, Methods & Tools strategy for supporting Engineering in the area of Simulation and Model Based System Engineering


Your main tasks and responsibilities will be to work as IM representative in cooperation with business and methods & tools department to maintain IM solutions over the whole product.


In detal the tasks and responsibilities of the position are:

  • To be account for the End to End Product lifecycle, from conception, design, industrialization, operation and retirement.
  • To define the product and service strategy and manage the product and service life cycle from idea to retirement.
  • To ensure that the known Product Vision is translated into a prioritized Product Backlog in alignment with the business product owner.
  • To establish twowaydialogue to translate Business needs against known technical & resource constraints.
  • To manage of product backlog, sizing of demands according to sprint/development duration
  • To prioritize backlog items according to business priority, PSL resources, dependencies to other topics/PSLs, technical constraints.
  • To ensure availability and consistency of Service Desk Guides / organize enduser support
  • To manage of subcontractors in frame of the support process.
  • Strong team spirit, open and transparent communication
  • Distinct welcome problem mindset
  • Basic knowledge of IT basic principles such as infrastructures and architectures
  • Knowledge of agile work processes (SCRUM, KANBAN), experience in lean processes would be a plus
  • Networking skills, ability to manage stakeholders even on a large scope
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Advanced level in English, French and German is helpful
A proven experience in
Information Systems with the following technologies and skills will be important:

  • Applications: SPDM and MBSE solutions (CAMEO, ALTAIR solutions, MATLAB...)
  • OS : Windows, Unix (AIX), Linux
  • Medium Oracle SQL knowledge
  • Basic programming skills
  • Product Lifecycle Management
  • Software Requirement and change management
  • Project Management

Required skills

You will have the following skills and experience:

  • Educated to a Master degree level in IT,
  • At least 8 years of experience in Business IT projects,
  • IT architecture design pattern
  • Collaborative mindset
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to drive improvement & innovation
