Underwriting Assistant Casualty (international office)
France, Paris,

The position falls within the Operations and Technology function, specifically in the international office activity of the Casualty department.

Provide high-quality and efficient administrative services to various activities as a Middle Office (contract lifecycle management).


Support Underwriting (commercial aspect) and ensure that administrative processes related to the complete policy lifecycle are efficiently managed from A to Z, with a high level of quality service to internal and external stakeholders.

What will your essential responsibilities include?

  • Ensure the definitive confirmation of project implementation within deadlines.
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of premiums in reserve.
  • Ensure timely and accurate documentation of files handled by the position holder in the Underwriting file (on the document management system).
  • Process and respond to client/broker requests promptly and refer them to Underwriting as needed.
  • Collaborate with Underwriting to test new business, prepare quotes, and participate in broker and renewal meetings.
You will report to the manager of international office Casualty and also for the operations Lead Casualty.

We're looking for someone who has these abilities and skills:

  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Ability to synthesize large volumes of information.
  • Good understanding of industry common standards.
  • Motivation to continuously improve skills.
  • Previous work experience in a commercial insurance environment.
  • Completion of insurancerelated training is highly recommended.
  • Desirable experience in the commercial insurance underwriting process.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft product suite: Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.
  • Fluent in English.
