- Collaborate closely with the offshore engineering team, ensuring clear technical communication, timely guidance, and smooth execution of deliverables.
- Manage discussions with French Technical Coordinators.
- Lead and support the structural design and development of primary aerospace components such as Frame/Beam/Skin/Stringer etc.. and secondary components such as loaded & unloaded brackets/clips/fittings etc.. in accordance with Airbus processes, methods, and standards.
- Solid understanding of aerospace design principles, airworthiness constraints, and manufacturing processes.
- Review and validate design outputs such as 3D models, 2D drawings, and Bill Of Material to ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Provide technical expertise on structures, materials, stress sizing, manufacturing considerations, and certification constraints.
- Providing support to other general design activities, e.g. Process improvements, cost reduction etc.
- Drive issue resolution by interfacing with cross functional teams (stress, manufacturing, quality, configuration management, etc.).
- Ensure adherence to Airbus DMU, PLM, and configuration control processes.
- Prepare and deliver design reviews (Maturity phases, PDR, CDR, DFM).
- Manage engineering data, documentation, and deliverables in compliance with quality and configuration requirements.
- Support digital continuity initiatives and contribute to continuous improvement in design and communication processes.
- Understanding of aerospace design principles and airworthiness requirements.
- Knowledge of metallic and composite design principles.
- Knowledge of Airbus processes and procedures relating to design (RSDP, SIDP, AP, ABD, AIPI, AIPS, etc..).
- Experience of using Airbus Supply (DocMaster, Airnavx etc.).
- Airbus Design Signatory experience (Checker/approver).
- Valid Airbus training certificates in VPM and PASS SSI.
- Experience in DMU reviews, Interface Point Management and multi partner environments.
- Knowledge of DQN and RDR.
- Bi-lingual (French and English).
- BE / BTECH/MTECH/MS or equivalent degree (Aerospace/ Mechanical Engineering).
- 5-10 years of hands on experience in aerospace structural stress and concession analysis.
- Proven experience working on Airbus aircraft programs (A320, A330, A350, A380, etc.).
