Description
This role supports the Manufacturing Director, and report directly to the Operational Excellence SBFE organization.

Main responsibility is to lead the development and delivery of the SMW/TPM program within the Meyzieu Factory ensuring it links to the strategic business goals.

(SMW is Suntory Monozukuri Way; performance system developed by Suntory that is being applied at Suntory sites)

  • Develop and lead the SMW/TPM roadmap providing training and coaching to Site Management team, pillar leads and respective functions. Coordinate the rolling out of pillar launches, implement Daily management and Policy Management, prepare assessments and audits, and lead SMW/TPM steering meetings so that all functions are engaged in SMW/TPM and deployment is sustainable.
  • Coordination of improvement activities within the plant through analysing loss intelligence data, identifying improvements and prioritising projects that provide tangible benefits to safety, quality, cost, and delivery performance.
  • Manage and develop the site management team and pillar leads so that improved ways of working are embedded in the supply chain operations. Develop good working relationships across Site management team and at all levels in the site, providing guidance and promotion of SMW/TPM activities.
  • Prepare progress reports and update senior stakeholders within France and SBFE on SMW/TPM programme delivery. Sharing learnings and best practice with other Suntory sites.
  • Responsible for ensuring SMW/TPM activity follows agreed implementation routes using standard methods and tools. Follow and support Management teams to ensure progress is maintained and actively provides escalation of issues and removal of roadblocks

Key Responsibilities, scope for decision making, KPI's

  • Strong involvement and engagement with Shopfloor activity is required, to coach and guide the factory people.
  • Lead and Develop the SMW/TPM roadmap
  • Organise and facilitate steering meetings and audits
  • Report progress and savings against agreed goals and targets
  • Develop and improve existing data processes to facilitate SMW/TPM programme and its impact on business KPIs, especially from Policy management point of view.
  • Management and continuous development of SMW/TPM Pillar leads using tools such as PDR's, development plans, success planning and training
  • Lead internal Daily Management process to coach shop floor managers and members, to implement the recurrence prevention.
  • Participate in budget construction and management of improvement budget
  • Be expert in SMW management processes, pillar processes, expansion, tools, and improvement methodologies
  • Promote, manage, and control visual standards and 5S that are part of SMW/TPM activities
  • Support benchmarking activities with other Suntory sites
  • To know and comply with all site quality, food safety and H&S requirements
  • To carry out any reasonable management request to meet the needs of the business
  • Sometime to support Gadagne factory for SMW/TPM implementation with Gadagne team.

Professional Experience & competencies

  • Experience in deployment of TPM, Lean, or other Operational Excellence activity implementation. Preferable to have certified black belt.
  • Degree or equivalent required in Science/Engineering background.
  • Experience within a FMCG or technical environment.
  • Preferable to have proven records of Project Management with appropriate qualifications
  • Experience of delivering improvements from shop floor through to strategic/ business wide projects
  • Dynamic and driven individual that can act as ambassador for TPM
  • Leadership of strategic projects

  • Financially aware with experience of P&L, OPEX, CAPEX and R&M processes
  • Strong focus on structured ways of working with completion mind set
