The Redesign Group is a global business strategy, design and technology consultancy specializing in transformational services that help organizations achieve their full potential.
We are expanding our Product Development team that's focused on supporting our web application product portfolio for applications that are currently running in production for a variety of internal and external use cases.
Job SummaryWe are looking for a Full Stack Python Django and React Developer with over 5 years of experience to design, develop, and maintain robust web applications using the Django framework.
The ideal candidate is a problem-solver with a deep understanding of Python, Django, React and related technologies, capable of delivering efficient and secure solutions in a fast-paced environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and deploy scalable web applications using React, Python and Django.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including front-end developers, designers, and product managers, to define and implement new features.
Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices and coding standards.
Optimize applications for performance, scalability, and security.
Integrate RESTful APIs, third-party services, and databases into Django applications.
Perform code reviews, unit testing, and debugging to ensure high-quality deliverables.
Maintain and enhance existing applications, addressing technical debt and improving functionality.
Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure our applications remain competitive.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
5+ years of professional experience in Python development, with at least 3 years focused on the Django framework.
Strong proficiency in Django, Django REST Framework, and Python programming.
Experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and writing optimized SQL queries.
Familiarity with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks like React or
Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
Experience with cloud native containerization (e.g., Docker and Kubernetes).
Understanding of software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum).
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with microservices architecture and API-driven development.
Knowledge of security best practices for web applications (e.g., OWASP guidelines).
Experience with automated testing frameworks (e.g., pytest, unittest).
Strong Github portfolio.
