  • Finance Analyst
  • Balance Sheet and Statistical Management Reporting, Paris.
  • Join our Financial Management Group as a Finance Executive in our Paris office. You will be part of a team that owns and manages the financial affairs of Macquarie. This includes entities incorporated and regulated in France, as well as European branches. You must be fluent in both French and English, to businesslevel.
  • You will be more specifically joining the "Balance Sheet & Statistical Reporting team", supporting the MacCap business unit, but can expect to be also involved in other elements of Finance (financial control, financial statements), Treasury (funding/capital/liquidity management). In each of these components, you will be supported by wider Financial Management Group resources in the UK, the US and India, or 3 rd party service providers (where required).
  • You will report through to the Macquarie Capital Finance manager in Paris and your key responsibilities will include:
  • regulatory reporting production, including reporting to the ACPR (RUBA, CRT) but also German branch reporting.
- regulatory reporting governance (preparation of review meetings, drafting of desktop procedures, automation of reporting processes, drafting of assumptions and interpretations documents).
- keeping abreast of regulatory developments impacting regulated entities
- liaising with local regulators or authorities with oversight from management and compliance

To further expand your scope and support the broader team, you can expect to be involved in:

  • financial control, planning and analysis tasks
- legal entity control (annual financial statements, dividends, and management of external audit)
- monitoring daily capital adequacy, funding and liquidity position of regulated entities
- developing relationships with the business (Macquarie Capital) to advise on the balance sheet or P&L impact of new products and strategies within regulated entities.

To be successful, you will have the confidence, drive, and problem-solving skills to innovate and deliver great outcomes.

  • You will also have:
  • tertiary qualification, preferably in a business/finance/economics or related discipline and with 2 years+ experience within banking and finance in a global financial institution
- strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to understand and succinctly explain complex data
- creative and innovative thinker
- attention to detail
- highly motivated and flexible team player.

  • Additional European languages would be a plus (eg German)
