Containers Orchestration Product Architect (F/H)


MISSION
Within the CaaS platform, she/he is the Product Architecture focal point (covering Application components, Services, Data) for one or many solutions:

  • End-

Users Problem Solving:
Deeply understand the end-user problems to solve and continuously add value to the end-user experience by architecting functional evolutions of the product

  • Product Life Cycle:
  • Manage the life cycle of the product and its applicative components (from ideation to end of life), the strategy and the roadmap based on usage, value harvesting and technical debt.
  • Manage decommissioning roadmap of the applicative components of the product and ensure the waiver process is applied.
  • Architecture Runway: Works with the Fullstack architect and the other Infrastructure Product Architects to define the architecture runway for the products she/he's working on and lead the execution of this runway with the delivery squads.
  • System Engineering: Consider the system as a whole and contribute to "end to end" Architecture studies in which its given product is concerned
  • Architecture Decision: Lead the collaboration between all actors to obtain understood and shared functional architecture decisions
  • Architecture Studies: Based on expressed needs not covered by standard solutions, propose new studies, defining priorities between studies and what has to be included in standard solutions or not.
  • Product Architecture: Contribute to the architecture document describing among other, the architecture functional decisions and the applicative & data layer of the architecture needed by a product.
  • Promote Marketing Architecture: Support, explain, promote and communicate product evolutions and strategy.
  • Skills and collaboration: Educate delivery teams in design and architecture consideration to develop their judgement and increase their autonomy


In collaboration with the other products architects of the infrastructure domain: she/he is a main contributor to the overall integration for a given domain.


  • Contribute to the definition of the complete Infrastructure domain Architecture, strategic orientations, and roadmaps. This included optimized integration of the product but globally optimize efficiency for the end users as function of the different usages validated by the business roadmaps.
  • Ensure the alignment between IS Architecture and business goals when products are required, developed and deployed
  • Build reusable Architecture patterns and blueprints, managed in a shared repository.
  • Pay attention to, follow, and evaluate the business evolutions, developments, and deployments of the market in link with the domain.
Within the EA network, she/he promotes and contributes to innovation and global IS/IT strategy deployment:

  • Support, explain, promote, and communicate and contribute to Enterprise architecture patterns and blueprints.
  • Represent and engage delivery teams during Enterprise Architecture reviews.
  • Contribute to software packages sourcing (including contractual aspects with DGA).

KEY EXPECTED RESULTS

  • Architecture decisions are documented, understood, and shared according to negotiated planning.
  • Architecture documents and studies deliverables are managed in a common repository, accessible to other IT entities.
  • Products are enabling business & DCTI ambitions and needs at the right costs all along their lifecycle (up to decommissioning), appropriate waivers and derogations are managed when needed.
  • Architecture patterns, blueprints, strategy, and standards are regularly presented and explained to main counterparts.
  • Coaching and support to increase the knowledge and autonomy around architecture matters of teams
  • Conducts Proof of Concept (POC) for feasibility studies
  • Act as the liaison with business managers, business users and IT execution team. Support definition of use cases, scenarios etc.
  • Develops and implements policies, procedures and architectural principals to ensure that systems support the organization's business requirements and meet the needs of end users.

QUALIFICATIONS
Theoretical knowledge

  • Minimum of 10+ years of professional IT experience
  • Mastery in Kubernetes containers orchestration platforms, especially VMWare Tanzu & Kubernetes Vanilla.
  • Very good knowledge of Azure & AWS cloud platforms.
  • Very good knowledge of Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD tools (Ansible/Terraform, Gitlab CI/Jenkins, Git, Python, PowerShell).
  • Good knowledge of other cloud services (OVHcloud, OCI, Alicloud, GCP).
  • Good knowledge of VMware solutions (ESXi, NSX,).
  • Knowledge of main SQL & NoSQL databases (OracleDB, PostgreSQL, MongoDB,).
  • Knowledge of networking, storage, operating systems, and backup principles.
Operational know-how

  • Management and operation on containers orchestration platforms.
  • Management and operation on cloud services
  • Use of diagnostic tools on these platforms
