Missions
VAISALA France is looking for a
Data Analysis of Wind LiDAR measurements Intern M/F.

Under the responsibility of our Market Development Manager, the intern will join the Operations department and support it by discovering aspects of the tasks of a Data Analysis like a understand and analyze wind LiDAR measurements.

With the support of the team, your missions will consist in:

Create a catalogue of different wind features (gusts, shears, veers, etc).
Understand how different wind features can be characterized in a time series or other plots.
Interpretate and analyze measurements and/or simulations of different wind conditions available in the scientific literature.
Gather all existing codes to make basic data analysis of measurements performed with our wind LiDAR systems.
Create new scripts using opensource software such as Python to further analyze and plot LiDAR data from our database.
Create new scripts to create visualization or animations of LiDAR data to support the marketing and sales team in customers' presentations with new proofs.
Create new scripts to visualize data in other free platforms such as Google Earth.
Support the digital team to understand how data should be extracted in the new platform under development.

Profil
Currently studying for a final year master's degree or equivalent in Renewable Energy/Energy/Data Analysis/Physics/Mathematics/Engineer or similar degree.

Academic and Technical skills:_
General Physic knowledge.
Strong interest in Meteorology and Renewable Energies.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office pack.
Some experience in coding.
Some experience in data analysis or graph analysis.
English and French (speaking and writing) is mandatory.
