Part of the CMA CGM group, La Méridionale, a fast-growing shipping company with almost 600 employees, operates a daily freight and passenger service (Ro-Ro) between Corsica and the mainland and between Tangiers and Marseille, providing territorial continuity as part of its public service remit.

It has a fleet of four ships and more than 20 ferry journeys a week between Corsica and the mainland and Marseille and the Maghreb.

THE ROLE


To drive the Group Purchasing Department's ambition for excellence by mobilising stakeholders around strategic programmes and projects, and to draw up the company's purchasing policy in line with the Group's challenges and ambitions.


RESPONSIBILITIES
To draw up the purchasing policy in line with the Group's challenges, integrating the compliance and responsible purchasing dimensions.

To define the framework for the operational implementation of the purchasing policy.


To Challenge and to guarantee the consistency of the purchasing strategies drawn up by each family in its purchasing area and to ensure that they are adopted by the purchasing teams and stakeholders (specifiers, supply chain, suppliers).

To take charge of strategic purchasing projects for specifiers.


To Ensure that the compliance policy is applied and respected in all its aspects (regulatory, ethical, political, data, innovation, etc.) and overseeing the handling of any malfunctions.


To Identify and to control industry risks within its area of responsibility and, where appropriate, cross-functional risks based on its expertise.

To analyse the results of satisfaction surveys (prescribers/suppliers/channel) and implementing improvement actions with the entire Channel.


To monitor the achievement of channel results, ensure that the necessary action plans are implemented and report back to the department to which you report.


To ensure the continuous optimisation of the Supply Chain and contributing to the development and deployment of transformation projects, including change management.

To steer and to mobilise in-house teams for the sector's projects.

To guarantee the quality of the data entered into the tools (completeness, relevance, reliability).

To guarantee compliance with the supply chain trajectory within its scope.

To lead the CODIR and the relevant steering bodies.

To develop employees' skills and to encourage cross-functional cooperation between entities.

To ensure compliance with HR regulations and the implementation of prevention, health and safety measures in the workplace.

To contribute to the quality of social dialogue within its scope.


PROFILE AND QUALIFICATIONS
You have a higher education degree in supply chain, management, engineering or another relevant field.


You have at least 15 years' professional experience, including 5 years at managerial level in purchasing or the supply chain.


You have already held a Purchasing Director position and have demonstrated your ability to lead cross-functional projects within a Purchasing department.

You have a Master's degree from a business school or an engineering degree in finance/purchasing.


You will be able to supervise an entire purchasing process and manage a purchasing team and a network of suppliers.

You have excellent negotiation and purchasing skills.

You are fluent in written and spoken English and are able to lead meetings in English.
