The AMEC Installation Methods Engineering Department keeps growing and we are looking for new talent to reinforce our team


The Installation Methods team is responsible for the installation of subsea structures, flexible flowlines, umbilical's, cables, jackets, decks, bridges, risers systems and mooring systems.

They prepare the scope of work and then support the offshore team during the operations.

Ensuring the interface with the Client, suppliers, offshore crew and the design team are also part of the daily challenge of the engineers inside this Department.


Roles & Responsibilities

  • Supervise the engineering activities related to the preparation and Offshore installation of the products.
  • Prepare documents and preliminary studies related to tenders, FEEDs and projects developed by the Group.
  • Plan, prepare and confirm specific procedures (validation test on site, transportation and installation) and associated calculation notes (design lifting slings) by defining priorities.
  • Participate to vessel mobilization as well as installation phases on vessel in order to validate technical solutions by respecting the rules of the Group HSEQ.
  • Interface with Drafting team to ensure that expected quality and deliverable schedule is being met.
  • Help ensure engineering compliance, so that Subsea 7 can deliver quality engineering solutions.
  • Actively contribute for the consolidation of the expertise of the installation Methods team.

Essential Experience, Skills and Knowledge

  • Graduated with a Master's in Engineering and relevant work knowledge in the energy sector.
  • Experience in Subsea Structures Installation and/or Flexible Flowlines/Umbilical's (minimum 5 years).
  • Previous contact with site (Yards) and Offshore Operations work context will be valued.
  • Experience leading teams is a plus.
  • Autonomy, Planning, Priority Setting and Communication are key soft skills to succeed in this position.
  • Fluency in English is a must have.
