Job Purpose:

This position will be part or the Transportation Sales Support Team in EMEA.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Provide support to EMEA Sales team in responding to customer enquiries for Transportation product range.
  • Development of testing plans, to support ongoing and future customer activities, in the appropriate EnerSys or external testing facilities.
  • Creation and maintenance of tools to support customer activities such as calculators and reference tables.
  • Create detailed assembly and packaging component drawings for make and buy items.
  • Understand and comply with agency dictated packaging and marking requirements.
  • Create 3dimensional CAD, Solidworks and CREO models of packaging components and assemblies.
  • Create and release product BOM's for production usage in several different ERP systems.
  • Maintain existing product finishing design drawings and BOMs.
  • Execute design releases and changes in accordance with the required system procedures.
  • Manage finishing design projects as assigned.
  • Verifying, reconciling, and reporting the design outputs relative to the inputs.
  • Work closely with crossfunctional departments to assist with timely, low cost, high quality design solutions.
  • Maintain reference documentation.
  • Customer specifications repository and ensures product design compliance to customer specifications.
Other duties may be assigned.


LOCATION:
European based.


TRAVEL REQUIRED:15-25% travel as required.


Qualifications:

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:


  • 24year degree in an Engineering or related field preferred.
  • Preferable 2+ years experience in a quality system driven manufacturing environment generating and handling engineering change processes documentation.
  • Proficient with Microsoft suite of software,
  • Experience of CAD systems, Solid Works preferred
  • Understanding of ERP systems. SAP preferred. Windchill a plus.
  • Ability to communicate (orally and in writing) in a professional manner when dealing with customers, field sales and company contacts.
