Description

As the Chief Operating Officer (COO), you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and managing the operational aspects of the organization.

Reporting directly to the CEO, you will be responsible for driving operational excellence, implementing strategic initiatives, and ensuring the smooth execution of events and related activities.

Your leadership, strategic thinking, and processes expertise will be critical in achieving the company's goals.


Responsibilities

Operational Strategy:
Collaborate with the CEO and executive team

to develop and execute operational strategies aligned with the company's overall goals and objectives.

Event Management :
Over see the planning, coordination, and execution events hosted by the company. Ensure seamless internal coordination, efficient resource allocation, and deadlines monitoring.

Budgeting and Financial Management:
Work closely with the CEO to develop and manage budgets, financial forecasts, and expense control measures. Monitor financial performance and implement cost optimization strategies.

Process Improvement:
Identify opportunities to streamline and optimize operational processes, procedures, and workflows. Implement best practices and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and productivity.

Team Leadership:
Provide strong leadership and guidance to the operational team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture. Set clear goals, monitor performance, and provide regular feedback and development opportunities.

Technology and Infrastructure:
Evaluate and implement appropriate technology solutions, tools, and systems to support operational efficiency and scalability. Stay updated with emerging technologies relevant to the events industry.


Cross-functional Implementation: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, content, customer success and operations, to align operational strategies and ensure effective execution.


Performance Monitoring and Reporting:
Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure operational performance. Develop and present regular reports to the executive team, highlighting achievements, challenges, and recommendations.


Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, operations management, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
  • Demonstrated experience in operational management, including event planning, logistics, budgeting, and process improvement.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve goals and drive results.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to translate vision into actionable plans and initiatives.
  • Strong financial acumen, with experience in budgeting, financial analysis, and cost management.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving abilities, with a datadriven approach to decisionmaking.
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Flexibility to travel and attend events as required.
