BUSINESS AFFAIRS MANAGER**Warner Bros. International Television Production France, one of the most important production companies of non-scripted programs in France, is looking for its new Business Affairs Manager.

Since 2016, the company has developed numerous programs for all broadcasters (France Television, Groupe M6, Groupe TF1, Altice Médias, Groupe Canal + and Amazon Prime), relying both on the flagship programs of the Warner Bros.

catalogue, as well as creating original programs for the French-speaking audience.

This role reports to the Business Director.

The Job

As part of the Business department, you will be responsible for managing, conducting and overseeing a wide range of Business Affairs and rights activities.

You will provide day to day Business Affairs services relating to the production activities, most specifically the development, production and exploitation of non-scripted TV projects.

In this role you will be tasked with building, maintaining and managing first-class relationships with key external organisations including broadcasters, SVOD platforms and external legal counsel as well as across Warner Bros.

Discovery (WBD).

The Daily

Negotiation, drafting and monitoring of contracts related to the development, production and exploitation of audiovisual works: author, director, option and rights acquisition, image rights authorization, coproduction, executive production, services, etc., with WBD's external legal counsel advice when needed/required. Responsible for ensuring all contracts are verified by WBD's external legal partner;
Negotiation, drafting and monitoring of broadcasting contracts with TV broadcasters and SVOD platforms;
Advise on and implementation of production contractual schemes (authors, development, coproductions, etc.) and operational solutions for projects in development or production;
Monitoring of litigation and prelitigation, liaising with external counsel and corporate legal departments as needed;
Trademarks management: advice on titles, prior searches, monitoring of filing procedures, etc. Ensuring relevant WBD trademark team is kept abreast of all matters;
Ensuring full compliance by the company with all laws and WBITVP group policies;
Acting as a point of contact for the Company and maintaining excellent relations with external parties. Dealing with all routine queries efficiently and liaising with third parties to ensure timely delivery of contractual paperwork;
Supporting the Business Director, providing advice and information as needed.

The Required

We are looking for a committed and enthusiastic team player with a passion for television, specifically for factual and entertainment content.

They will have solid knowledge and experience of Business Affairs gained within a similar position in the audiovisual production sector and/or with a broadcaster.

They will have excellent communication skills, as well as being an enthusiastic learner with the ability to quickly assimilate information and develop new skills.

Knowledge of the audiovisual production market and understanding of legal, financial and practical issues and needs of operational teams, mainly production teams, is a must.

They will be a team player and possess excellent verbal and written French and English skills.

We are looking for someone that has a Law degree in intellectual property or media law.
