About the job


Workplace Experience is key in supporting Scaleway's work environment (in the offices and data centers) in Paris and Lille, France, accommodating our 550+ Scalers working on-site and remotely.

We strive for excellence and challenge ourselves to surprise and delight our employees and guests every day. We work together to offer our best and celebrate our company's successes. To reinforce the team, Scaleway is looking for a Facilities Manager to join our growing organization.

You will be responsible for managing facilities and services in our Paris office. You will play a key role in strategic projects and initiatives, contractor management, and innovation.


Responsibilities:


  • Ensuring that facilities meet French regulations as well as environmental, health, and security standards
  • Responding to customer's needs and requests in a timely manner, according to our SLAs
  • Making sure that basic facilities (water, gas, electricity, and heating) are well maintained
  • Overseeing building projects (repairs, renovations, or refurbishments)
  • Managing the access to the premises and the safety of everything inside the building (badge permissions, activation and deactivation, etc.)
  • Implementing and updating internal procedures and guidelines (reception, building access, office services, etc.)
  • Analysing KPI data to identify issues, trends, and improvement opportunities
  • Supervising technical interventions and vendors management
  • Developing and implementing safety preventive plans
  • Proposing and implementing all corrective measures to comply with legal, regulatory, and contractual obligations
  • Coordinating logistics and space setup for business needs (events, culture and engagement initiatives, etc.)In collaboration with Work Experience, assisting in audits, offering advice to increase energy efficiency, and contributing to cost control in multiple scenarios
  • Developing and maintaining positive relationships with all customers and vendors
  • Drafting reports and making recommendations for improvements
  • Performing additional duties, as requested
  • Occasional travel between our facilities in France: Les Maisons (Paris & Lille) and DCs (Ile de France only) as required

Minimum qualifications:


  • Previous experience within the field of facility/workplace management
  • Excellent people skills, ability to interact with a wide range of clients, staff, and capacity to meet a vast variety of demands
  • Analytical and problemsolving skills
  • Ability to manage projects
  • Team spirit and collaborating mindset
  • Multitasking abilities
  • Organization, time management, prioritizing, and ability to work on fastpace mode
  • Fluent English (compulsory) and French, communication skills (in person and via our echannels)

Preferred qualifications:


  • Strong PC literacy and proven ability to manage daily activities using various systems
  • Knowledge of quality management and KPI measurement
  • Budget management abilities
  • Knowledge of mechanical or electrical engineering
  • Valid driving license preferable

Location
This position is based in La Maison Paris (Paris office), reporting to the Head of Work Experience.
