Description

You will assist the Sustainable Insurance Manager in monitoring relevant KPIs to assess the performance of the Group sustainability strategy for the business, with a strong focus on P&C activities.

He / she will be in charge of defining the processes to compute data in collaboration with the business to address business needs, regulatory requirements and sustainability strategy needs.

He/she will contribute actively to developing a robust framework for ESG reporting, bringing the business dimension to the ESG Global Project.

You will also support the Sustainable Insurance Manager in spreading the sustainability culture across the business and supporting underwriters in better integrating ESG consideration in their underwriting decisions


Key duties and responsibilities

  • Identify ESG data for business needs, performance monitoring and reporting requirements
  • Perform gap analyses on existing and missing data, with a priority on carbon and ESG rating data to address current P&C needs
  • Propose solutions to widen the coverage, including methodologies for proxy, and streamline data collection
  • Participate in the selection of external data providers for business needs, adopting a consistent approach across the balance sheet
  • Manage the relationship with external data providers
  • Develop robust processes to compute the data
  • Seek for automated processes in light of the upcoming regulation and audit of ESG data
  • Participate closely in the ESG Global Project with a strong focus on P&C and in coordination with the business and the other streams of the project
  • Work closely with P&C business to provide regular and adhoc information helping underwriters to monitor their activities visàvis SCOR's commitments (NZ, PPMI)
  • Design relevant reports for the sustainability team to monitor progress versus commitments and ambition, support the preparation of internal memos and presentation for senior management
  • Participate in spreading the sustainability culture in the Group, facilitating knowledge transfer across the business with the aim to improve SCOR's sustainability performance

Required experience & competencies

  • 5/10 years + of relevant experience in financial services of which 5 years + in (re)insurance business ideally on the P&C side

Required Education
Scientific, or commercial with scientific appetite, education

University degree, business school or other "Bac+5" equivalent
