At Gourmey, you'll be responsible for our core People Operations excellence, ensuring smooth People experience, compliance, and much more.

You will join a team of 3 people, and report directly to our Head of People.


What will you be responsible for?

:


This role is crucial for the organization as the first point of contact for all employees, handling payroll for 70+ team members, navigating an array of policy questions and structuration, navigating employee benefits, and structuring our Learning program.


In details:

  • Payroll and timekeeping management: partner with the Finance team and payroll provider to ensure payroll and time tracking and prepare payroll instructions (new hires, leavers, contract changes, etc.) in coordination with our Payroll Manager.
  • Build Work Organisation and maintain solid Employment frameworks adapted to Biotechs, helping to deliver compliance and best practice employment in Gourmey's sector.
  • Ensure Labour law compliance and mitigate the Company's risk by having a basic understanding of relevant employment laws (France only).
  • Maintain and put in place HR Ops policies, taking into account local compliance requirements. Manage time off policies, vacation/PTO, sick time, public holidays, and other types of employee leave
  • Take an active part in projects related to any HR topic critical for our success (D&I; Talent management, L&D, etc. based on your previous experience).
  • Benefits administration, including proactive and reactive problemsolving and supporting staff queries in accessing benefits.
  • Partner with other Operations teams (Legal, Finance, etc) to provide a positive and coordinated workflow.
  • Supporting managers and employees on HROps issues.

What about you?

:


  • You have a minimum of 5 years of experience
    in a Biotech/ Pharma company as a payroll specialist, HR Ops specialist, HR Generalist, or a similar position.
  • You have a strong working knowledge of French Labour law and collective agreements.
  • You can produce work contracts, addenda, etc. autonomously and can lead collective negotiations.
  • Native proficiency in French & fluent in English
  • Good knowledge of HRIS (we use Lucca today) and Excel/Google Sheets
  • You're passionate about supporting and helping people, always
  • You are recognized for your problemsolving skills, strong attention to detail, organization, and curiosity
