The Project Operations Business Division is in charge of producing process design packages, proprietary and automation equipment, modular units and process furnaces, from design to start-up, for refineries, petrochemical and industrial sites of our customers, on the group's traditional technologies as well as on technologies linked to the energy transition.

Its objective is to ensure quality projects, respecting costs and schedules and preserving the safety of all.


Missions:


As part of the development of its Proprietary Equipment activity, the Project Operations Business Division needs to strengthen its teams and is looking for Equipment Industrialization Engineer.


Your challenges will be:


Handle a project role for implementing and executing projects to qualify various type of equipment (such as valves, rotating machines, static equipment, reactor internals and skid packages) and their manufacturers.


As a key member of our team, your technical role involves sharing of multidisciplinary technical knowledge (mechanical, piping, instrumentation & control, process, engineering coordination) and experience acquired in previous positions adding significant value to the overall team.


The first step of a project consists in gathering the needs, validating the commercial interest and the technical potential of the equipment.


Following this step, a second focuses on the feasibility of design and selecting dedicated suppliers capable of manufacturing the equipment in accordance with Axens' requirements and standards.

Upon completion of these stages, the equipment is ready to be offered for sale to our customers.

Your main tasks will be as follows:

  • Development of new proprietary equipment, particularly focusing on Axens' new low carbon licences.
  • Plan and manage the steps of the development.
  • Assess equipment needs and requirements, taking into account multidisciplinary technical aspects.
  • Select and cultivate relationships with suppliers in collaboration with procurement team: drafting of specifications, search for suppliers.
  • Establish offers for new equipment or schematics for new skid packages, intended to be integrated into the portfolio of proprietary equipment.
  • Develop design documents, specifications and tools for the future realization of the equipment
  • Ensure regulatory compliance of proprietary equipment.
  • Industrialize and enhance proprietary equipment through a continuous improvement approach.

Knowledge and Required Level:


  • You are an experienced engineer, with a minimum of 10 years' experience, possessing multidisciplinary technical skills, in one or more of the following disciplines: Process Skid Packages, Mechanical, Rotating Equipment, Static Equipment, Instrumentation, or Process.
  • You have actively contributed to the production of equipment or skid packages within engineering or as a manufacturer. You have worked in the operation or involvement in the design of refining / petrochemical, gas, energy units. Experienced in other industries would be valuable.
  • Experience in process startup will be highly appreciated.
  • Familiarity with regulatory constraints, engineering standards, safety standards and equipment codes is expected,.
  • A good level in English and French, both written and spoken, is essential.
