About the role


As an Engineering Director at Carrier, you will lead the engineering function for Mechanical Systems, EMEA region and its strategy implementation, operational and financial performance, effectiveness towards market and people management.

You oversee the new technical projects and products introductions and provide operational engineering support for Aubagne plant.


As part of Carrier Commercial Refrigeration Engineering team, you provide thought leadership in terms of market trends, customers' expectations, and technology changes.

Requirements:

We are looking for leaders who are real people managers in developing, encouraging, and recruiting. You are also recognized for your focus on results, on the customers and business innovation. If this is you, get in touch.

As a minimum you must have:

  • An Engineering degree, Refrigeration or Thermodynamics degree would be an advantage
  • Experience in mechanical systems or commercial and industrial refrigeration racks, CO2, etc
  • Experience with leading engineering teams internationally, new product introductions and working internationally across EMEA
  • Proficiency in English and French, German would be an advantage

Responsibilities

As an Engineering Director, you'll be responsible for:

  • Work with the global technology team to define and support the technology roadmap for Mechanical Systems.
  • Direct the development and implementation of plans for the market and business to maintain and gain maximum profitable business
  • Develop sound engineering strategies that anticipate changes in market conditions and answer customers' requirements
  • Follow up the implementation of engineering plans and budgets, constantly monitoring critical KPIs
  • Establish close partnerships with senior executives of strategic/major accounts, suppliers and external companies and regulation bodies
  • Manage the mechanical systems team across locations of Aubagne and Mainz and ensure a consistent approach and efficient usage of resources
  • Adopt an open and fair management style in combination with an intense twoway communication with all employees
