Bodies & Transformation Senior Buyer

Are you a team player?- We are looking for a Senior Buyer in Uptime & Adaptation (U&A) team to purchase Bodies & Transformation products and services for our trucks.

What is our offer to you?
You will be a Bodies & Transformation Senior Buyer within Customer Adaptation.

The Bodies & Transformation segments represent everything Volvo is putting on top of our rigid chassis, such as tippers, boxes, cranes, hook-lifts and mixers.

They are a key success factor to our customers and sometimes even more expensive than the actual truck they are mounted on.

You will have a true role in making sure our customers get a complete vehicle that meet their tough standards, contributing to their satisfaction and success.

You will have colleagues and stakeholders working spread across the world and work in different networks, teams and groups. You will have interactions locally, continentally and globally. You will be part of the Adaptation - Bodies & Transformation team within the Uptime & Adaptation (U&A) department. The department and team has personnel sitting in Gothenburg (Sweden) and Lyon (France).

  • Uptime & Adaptation is a global organization within Group Trucks Purchasing (GTP) who support Service Parts Purchasing and Vehicle Adaptation Purchasing. We are operating in small teams with a large degree of freedom. We support each other, everyone is contributing to build the Uptime & Adaption future.
    This is your mission
You will be leading the purchasing activities within your portfolio to maximize our truck brands offers.

  • Your will have a high focus on Light Commercial Vehicle but not be limited to this scope.
  • As Senior Buyer, we want to benefit from your Purchasing experience to support our Group and Brands transformation from Purchasing side. Our purpose is to always bring more value to our customers without compromising quality nor lead time.

  • You support and coach junior team members throughout the purchasing journey and grow our team purchasing mindset.

  • We also value if you have:
  • Master degree in Purchasing & Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering or related field
  • 5 years of previous buyer experience, automotive is a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Excellent networking skills and ability to drive stakeholders at different levels
  • Ability to secure business requirements and contracts
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Curiosity for new technologies and business trends
  • High degree of autonomy and ability to be pragmatic
  • Ability to challenge, convince and make decisions
  • Ability to deliver on time with team spirit skills
