Description:
Oversees the parish, school, cemetery, and other diocesan related audits which includes providing financial and operational resources/advice for the parishes. Responsible for the collection and analysis of parish financial reports and budgets. Serves as diocesan liaison to parishes and pastors for accounting, data analysis and administration concerns. This is a full time benefited exempt position. Hours of operation are Monday -Thursday 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Friday 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Travel may be required throughout the seven (7) counties of the Diocese of Joliet that may entail morning and/or evening meetings. Flexibility of schedule is required.
Requirements:
QUALIFICATIONS
• BS/BA in Accounting with 5 years of audit experience with a medium-sized firm is required.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and interact effectively with others.
• Must have strong written and oral skills.
• Must have the ability to supervise others.
• Knowledge of church and/or school operations a plus.
• Must have skills in Microsoft office, specifically Excel and Word.
