Job Description

Reporting Line

The Retail and Partnerships Manager will report directly to the Vice President Global Communications, Partnerships & Retail of Raffles and Orient Express.

  • Internally:
  • Global Comms. division, Brand's Teams (incl. Brand, Digital Marketing, Heritage & Culture), Global CSR Director, Hotels' Operational teams.

Mission


The primary responsibility of the Retail and Partnerships Manager is to implement and execute the strategy defined for Partnerships & Retail, supporting the rapid growth of the two brands on a global scale.

This role involves being implicated into significant new initiatives in these areas while ensuring consistent brand representation worldwide.

Roles and responsibilities


Retail & Partnerships:

  • Support the launch of the global retail strategy, ensuring alignment with financial objectives and brand positioning.
  • Cultivate strong relationships and partnerships with external luxury brands and stakeholders.
  • Support the development of brand Eshop platforms and retail tools such as "shop on Insta" to enhance the customer experience.
  • Participate in managing retail and partnership projects, collaborating with various internal teams (operations, design, brand, product, procurement, ownership) and external vendors.
  • Manage stakeholder relationships and assisting the negotiation of effective global and strategic partnership agreements.
  • Ensure consistent brand representation across different channels and geographies while establishing unique differentiators within the ultraluxury hotel market.
  • Maintain timelines, track progress, and provide regular updates on projects.
  • Establish and enforce global property retail standards and guidelines, ensuring design quality, functionality, and adherence to brand standards.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to understand their requirements and incorporate them into planning and concept development.
  • Coordinate and communicate with external partners to ensure timely and successful project reviews, feedback, support, and execution.
  • Provide support for Eshop and store openings, as well as key strategic partnership launches.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, best practices, and competition, maintaining a deep knowledge of the field.
  • Support properties by providing insights on luxury retail, including training, guest satisfaction, service, product assortment, visual merchandising, financial planning/performance, KPIs, and operations.
Main complexities

  • Being implicated into complex global retail and strategic partnership initiatives for Raffles and Orient Express, including trains and cruises' developments.
  • Support a highlevel vision for global retail and strategic partnerships while maintaining a handson and detailoriented approach.
Qualifications

Knowledge & Experience

  • Holds a Business/MBA Degree from a topranked institution.
  • Brings at least 3/5 years of working experience in Luxury Retail industry.
  • International experience and being culturally sensitive to different lifestyles and cultures.
  • Is fluent in French and English (other languages are a plus).
