The Opportunity:

The role of Health and Safety Coordinator supporting the Angoulême Consumer Packaging site, will have a reporting line for H&S topics to the Site Operational Lead.

We are looking for someone who can support the implementation of proactive health and safety initiatives at site to continually drive forward the positive culture currently embedded.

How you will impact on WestRock:

A brief overview of the responsibilities are noted below:

Effectively work to the site Safety Management Systems including the maintenance of the system processes
Support the management team with completion of indepth learning events for any sitebased incidents to determine suitable preventative control measures and assist in implementation of those actions
Organise and chair regular Safety Committee Meetings
Encourage and support the use of the WestRock Benchmark reporting portal for Health and Safety concerns, incidents, and metrics
Support and coordinate external audits for accreditations

What do you need to success:

Any previous health, safety or environmental experience or qualifications would be desirable but not essential as full support and training will be provided
Lead by example attitude
Good, confident communication skills both verbal and written
Able to effectively manage time and work autonomously
