Sub Category Lead (M/F) who can join our multicultural team in Paris.


As Large Fabrication Sourcing Lead you will support a Direct Category Management team within TechnipFMC's (FTI) Global Sourcing & Procurement (GSP) organization.

These teams develop and manage global supply chains intended to support TechnipFMC's Subsea, Surface and Services business segments, primarily supporting the energy industry.

In this role, you will have the below role & responsibilities:

  • Manage comprehensive Category strategies across Africa, India & Middle East region to ensure delivery of best in class SQDC results for the Large fab category. Be main category contact person for Category support. Main internal stakeholders are GSP Organization, Tenders and Projects, HSE, SQE, SME, Engineering, ESG.
  • Supports plans, development, investments and execution of regional Suppliers and Local Content suppliers. Lead and propose sourcing projects (Budget and result owner) including identifying and assessing potential new suppliers (Tier 1 and Tier 2), negotiating, establishing, and updating of supplier agreements. Monitor and report on competitive and macro/economic environment for defined scope
  • Leads Category Network, ensuring all Tactical resources [SQ, Fabrication, Procurement, HSE, Cost Engineering] within regional teams are fully engaged and follow the category strategy. Identify and Lead Sourcing Initiatives for region include qualification and developing of new Suppliers, cost saving initiatives, TCO (Total cost of ownership) opportunities, quality, delivery reliability, cost reduction and engineering/specification updates
  • Acts as Champions of the Sourcing Strategy towards the Supply Chain and internal Stakeholders. Be the Facilitator/ Lead the integration of SURF and SPS within Large Fabrication category to achieve one global strategy with regionally execution. Develop and manage relationship of key strategic and all local Tier 1 and Tier2 Suppliers.
  • Lead all Ts&Cs negotiations for large fabricators with SME's as required. Report and Analyze category data on a monthly bases, or as when required. (SQDC + Capacity). Lead and assist on ad hoc category tasks assigned by the CM. Encourages and stimulates teamwork across all business activities through cooperation, awareness, understanding and personal involvement. Support Procurement execution during escalation, as needed.

You are meant for this job if you have/ are:

  • Masters level degree in Engineering or Supply Chain Management / Industrial Distribution (or Business equivalent).
  • Fluency in French, Portuguese, or other language will be an asset.
  • 10+ years' experience in Technical/Supply Chain Management/Sourcing/Procurement
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to manage suppliers and internal stakeholders' relationships
  • Proficiency in communication and negotiations. Knowledge of manufacturing processes (one or more): welding, coating/painting, NDT
  • Readiness to travel (Africa, Middle East, Europe) Fluent English
