• This project aims to explore the intestinal immune axis and its role in spondyloarthritis (SpA), a chronic rheumatic disease characterized by inflammation of the spine and sacroiliac joints.

The team has developed a unique SKG mouse model that fully recapitulates SpA pathophysiology. This model has allowed researchers to investigate early events following curdlan injection (arthritis trigger) before arthritis onset.

1. To dissect precisely mechanisms involved in cell recruitment within gut tissues;
2. To study other very promising populations with associated cytokines; further research goals include evaluating biomarkers therapeutic targets
