Your mission

Within the "Global Projects Centre & Asia Pacific" (GPC & AP), Subsea 7's center of excellence for executing large-scale projects worldwide, the "Structure and Piping Design" department specializes in the design and analysis of offshore structures in the energy sector.

This department primarily focuses on the engineering of technically challenging deepwater fields. It takes on various related tasks, including support for installation and fabrication. Furthermore, we have the capability to support renewable energy projects (fixed or floating offshore).

Our studies encompass the entire lifecycle, from the upstream conceptual phase to the execution phase, including installation and construction stages.

Integrated within a Structural Design Team engaged in a live Project, following your discovery of the company, its technical environment, and the tools and regulations applicable to structural design for this Project, under the supervision of your Mentor you will be in charge of the design one or more structures (permanent and/or those known as "installation aids").

During this internship, a range of calculation techniques, from manual methods to the utilization of CAD numerical calculation tools such as StaadPro or Ansys, will be employed following a thoughtful assessment of the needs.

Your profile
This internship is intended for a final-year engineering student, with a mechanical engineering background. A strong understanding of structural calculations for steel construction and strength of materials is required. The ability to properly read and understand industrial drawings is necessary for this internship.

The intern shall demonstrate autonomy, dynamism, precision and, most importantly, creativity to propose solutions that bring significant benefits.
