We are looking for an apprentice to support the global segment leader / project buyer on the Mobile Logistic Equipment area, based in Lyon, started in September 2023.

You will be part of the Investments team which is a multicultural team based in France and Sweden, responsible for all purchasing activities associated with production equipment investments for the Volvo Group.

Our main stakeholder is Volvo Group Operations.

What is the mission?

The mission will be to support the day-to-day Mobile Logistic Equipment business for the French / Belgium sites as a base, including smaller investment projects and support the Project Buyer / Segment Leader to build the segment strategy.

What will be the main tasks?

Build and maintain strong relationship with internal cross functional stakeholders.
Analyze and optimize the supplier base and the current agreements to bring more performance.
Drive sourcing activities for investment projects in mobile logistic equipment, according to defined strategies and frameworks, with high focus on sustainability.
Build and maintain strong business relationships with our suppliers: continuous improvement
Lead supplier negotiations
Contribute to the strategy within the global buyer network and your segment leader by leading a analysis of the different business model within the group.

You have analytical skills, holistic view and you are pragmatic
You want to contribute to the Sustainability journey of Volvo Group
You are fluent in French and fully proficient in English (mandatory)
A first experience in Purchasing is a bonus
