The BUSINESS FINANCE LEAD FRANCE can be based in Paris or Remote in IDM region.

Role Summary


The Business Finance Lead's role is to provide business partnering support and strategic finance advice to the BU Leads and their teams in their market, and to be a reliable and trusted reference point for all strategic and priority financial needs.


Interact, socialize, and discuss with the BU leadership team on a wide range of critical Finance and Commercial topics to ensure business growth and to enable optimal business development.


Provide proactive leadership to drive BU and brand results, to stimulate behaviors across the organization to achieve strategic and financial goals.


Drive, coordinate & prioritize in conjunction with the BFC and the market Regional Finance Director the business finance processes and activities of the BUs they support, according to the new Business Finance operating model.

This position reports into the RFD France.

Role Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate BU OP/LEs processes for the supported BUs, based on guidance/timelines provided by BFC and Regional Finance team (RFT), with primary responsibility for highlighting major performance drivers and assessing risks and opportunities.
  • Identify major actions/options to build different scenarios and drive the business to deliver P&L commitments, develop business cases as needed and implement processes to define optimal targets and to measure the performance.
  • Contribute to presentation storyline/storyboard (focused on financial impacts) and deliver presentation content (OP/LEs, BRs, etc) for the supported BUs, leveraging a deep understanding of the business and environment in the market.
  • Act as a key stakeholder in the decisionmaking process through the provision of critical financial information and analysis, but also by influencing senior leaders and challenging the status quo.
  • Proactively manage priorities and keep key stakeholders informed (Regional Finance, BU Leads, RFD) as well as manage periodic meetings with RFD, BU Leads, BU teams, H&V and any other stakeholder to capture and update key assumptions for the BUs they support.
  • Collaborate vertically with the RFT and horizontally with peer Business Finance Leads (in market and/or regional), Area Finance Leads and the BFC to ensure consistency and alignment
  • Contribute to corporate accounting integrity and compliance to financial and compliance policies in critical areas (revenue recognition, FCPA, commercial practices, restructuring, financial reporting etc).

Qualifications:


  • University degree (Bachelor/Master) in business administration, economics, Finance or similar
  • Significant Business Finance experience, mainly in Financial Business Partnering
  • Understanding of market healthcare environment
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written)
  • Ability to foster strong relationships with business partners
  • Successful in navigating in a crossfunctional environment
  • Flexibility and ability to handle multiple priorities under time constraints. Critical thinking with the ability to have a helicopter financial perspective
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills ability to synthesize complex information to make informed decisions.
  • Good communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to work autonomously
  • Able to simplify processes and challenge the status quo
  • Good understanding of Pfizer accounting principles
