Reporting into the Head of Apheresis Operations Europe, the Team Lead - Patient Operations Apheresis Europe is accountable to manage onboarding and on-going performance of Apheresis Centers used for Celgene/BMS Clinical and Commercial Antigen Receptor (CAR) T-cell Therapies in their assigned region.

The Regional Manager will lead a regional team of apheresis operations managers and work cross functionally with a large set of stakeholders within the Cell Therapy Franchise.


Responsibilities:


  • Ensure apheresis sites involved in clinical and commercial Chimeric Antigen Receptor (CAR) Tcell Therapies are onboarded and managed as per launch plans and established processes, in collaboration with internal clinical and commercial teams for France, Italy and Spain
  • Develop and foster relationships with Apheresis Center Staff for assigned region
  • Collect VOC (Voice of Customer) and VOB (Voice of Business) feedback used for continuous operations improvement.
  • Comply with applicable SOP's and regulations.
  • Provide Quality Systems support by participating in deviation activities and impact/investigation assessments for cell collection centers, as well as Change Controls and GxP documentation, as required.
  • Lead and Coach the team of apheresis operations managers in the designated countries and ensure alignment with the European and Global Patient Operations teams.
  • Define the regional team's goals, priorities, training and development, in collaboration with leadership
  • Closely work and collaborate with Scheduling and Cell Therapy Operations, Quality Assurance, Supply Chain, Clinical & Commercial, Information Technology, Project Management teams and other internal business partners such as local affiliates.
  • Manage and collaborate on regional and global projects, as assigned.
  • Manage rollout of process changes internally and with assigned sites, as applicable.
  • Ensure data is accurately captured and consistent using the Information Systems and tools deployed within the organization
  • Represent the department on crossfunctional project teams, as requested.
  • Develop, monitor, and roll out KPIs and reporting tools

Skills/Knowledge Required

  • Required minimum 5 years of experience in a regulated environment either hospital or pharmaceutical/biotech industry.
  • Experience working in Cell Therapy, Apheresis or Stem Cell Transplant programs
  • Demonstrated leadership, communication, and presentation skills
  • Prior experience in customer facing activities
  • Facilitation and Negotiation skills.
  • Ability to manage and roll out global, regional and local projects.
  • High level of interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Ability to navigate and be successful in a fastpaced, crossfunctional and highly matrixed environment.
  • Medical, scientific and clinical knowledge as required for the area of responsibility.
  • High organization skills with ability to manage several tasks in parallel.
  • Written and verbal fluency in English, other European language a plus
  • Cross cultural awareness
  • Ability to travel up to 25%
