Description de la mission:

The Data Migration Lead is part of the ERP & P2P Project Core Team.


The Data Migration Lead will report to the Deploy Lead, who is a direct report of the ERP & P2P program Director, for the entire duration (Core Model Design, Pilot and Deployment) of the project.


The involvement of the Data Migration Lead early in the ERP & P2P project is seen as a key success factor to smoothly deploy a new ERP solution to the full scope of GEODIS 360+ entities worldwide with heterogeneous data quality and practices.

The role of the Data Migration Lead can be described as follow (not exhaustive list of tasks):

In general:

  • Manage the data migration process (including data migration strategy and data migration plan)
  • Lead data quality action plans in legacy systems with the support of the Lob or Region Project Managers
  • Collaborate with integrators' teams to develop best practice, processes, and standards for effectively carrying out data migration activities
  • Prepare data migration plans including migration risk, milestones, quality and business signoff details
  • Define and document with the process leads the data migration requirements
  • Ensure adequate management of interdependencies and impact on the Master Data processes governance and tools in coordination with Data Owners and MDM project teams
Prepare and Explore

  • Work with the functional / technical team to understand what data needs to be migrated
  • Prepare data migration plans including migration risk, milestones, quality and business signoff details

  • Support and guide local process owner in the mapping exercise / update of existing mappings from data sources to target system objects
  • Prepare and communicate the "check list of prerequisites" to anticipate data preparation activities to be performed locally

Realize:

  • Supervise data migration strategy, data recovery and conversion tools in collaboration with the integrators' teams
  • Participate to the definition of historical data archiving strategy
  • Contribute to mapping rule implementation
  • Work hand in hand with the integrator to support the deployment of data migration tools (if confirmed)
  • Validate data loading tests

Deploy:

  • Work closely with deploy teams, LRPMs, Local process owners and Data Stewards to coordinate and steer the data quality action plans
  • Put in place the data cleaning and data preparation action plans to be carried with / by local teams and monitor data readiness
  • Perform data migration audit, reconciliation, and exception reporting
  • Develop core data migration deliverables and technical assets and support the testing throughout the data migration test cycles
  • Participate to data migration dry runs
The list of missions will evolve to adapt to the activities, context, and organization of the project phases.

You have a master's degree from a Business School, Institut d'Etudes Politiques, engineering school or equivalent:

  • You have a 10-year minimum experience on similar projects
  • You have already successfully managed and / or contributed to data migration project activities for large multinational companies
  • You have a deep understanding of data modelling, data extraction, transformation and migration activities.
  • You come with convictions on the best practices, methodology and accelerators to guarantee the success of those project activities,
  • You are knowledgeable on EU data protection regulations
  • You can operate within a multidisciplinary team and are able to collaborate with various stakeholders: business, IT, operations, Sales, HR etc., internal and external.
  • You thrive in a collaborative environment and consider yourself as a team p
