Financial Management and Controlling

  • Monitor the month end timetable and contribute to the coordination of the month end activities with the finance team (FPM/WPC, POH, Reporting)
  • Involved in the monthly closing operations (closing of the activity, direct hours booking follow up).
  • Supervise the Teranga reporting of relevant packs (Actual, Forecast, Budget)
  • Involved in the budget preparation and the management of the performance vs Budget (hourly rates & coefficient calculation, Under/over recovery analysis and action plan)
  • Monitor the performance of the site and each metier/subsystem (monitoring the level of industrial activities and engineering, control of structural costs and investments, monitoring of the Project Performance Indicator (PPI) of the projects, drive business performance of the metier/subsystem...) and the animation of transversal processes.
  • Supervise the proper accounting and closure of production orders, depreciation allocation, general services allocation etc
  • Involved in the CAPEX reporting & controlling
  • Lead business cases or workshops with the Operational Departments
  • Propose improvement and/or corrective actions on their scope
  • Act as a business partner with the Head of Finance project Managers, work closely by cascading the same informations and guidelines to the team
  • Prepare management and financial reports to Region and local management (i.e. KPIs, monthly scorecards)
  • Provide all relevant analysis and support the Site Controller for the Monthly Business Reviews
  • Act as a primary contact for external audit reviews

Management

  • Coordinate the planning and budgeting activities and schedule of the metiers and set targets in order to produce reliable data, resource plans and budgets
  • Support the Site Finance Controller & Head of Finance Project Managers with adhoc analyses
  • Manage the Work Package controlling team, the Industrial Controller and the POH controller
  • Provide an addedvalue on the whole Processes and Ways of Working within the Finance Team (also transversal management)

Performance measurements:


  • Forecasting accuracy above 95%
  • Achievement of budget targets
  • Full compliance with accounting and reporting standards
  • Primarily adherence to the ALSTOM monthly financial reporting timetable and the project review governance & rules
  • Achievement of specific deliverables/Finance KPIs
  • Achievement of the GM projet target & project strategy

Experience Mandatory:

  • Minimum 5 to 10 years of relevant finance experience
  • External Audit, Overhead Control or Project Control experience
  • Fluent in English

Competencies & Skills

  • Experience in accounting, forecasting and budgeting.
  • Good business acumen
  • Ability to use integrated financial systems.
  • Good working knowledge of Excel spreadsheets and SAP (FI module mainly)
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Finance knowledge
  • Good communication skills
  • Strong team player
