The Role and What You'll Do:

The Manager of Olympics & Paralympics - Merchandise, Gifting and Licensing reports to the Senior Manager, Merchandising, Gifting and Licensing and will contribute to the overall management of efforts to achieve OLE's strategic business goals as it relates to event merchandise, licensing, and procurement.

This role will be responsible for day-to-day management of contractor relationships, including but not limited to adherence to the procurement procedures and budgets management, internal coordination with supporting departments, merchandise, and marketing approvals.


  • Work collaboratively with contracted suppliers ensuring implementation and delivery of contracted obligations, adherence to brand and retail guidelines, sustainability objectives, approval process and compliance with partner rights if applicable.
  • If required, research and identify suppliers to support the delivery of the departmental objectives. Manage the tender process to appoint additional suppliers adhering to company procurement policies and procedures.
  • Establish and maintain strong working relationships with internal departments to ensure the successful delivery of the Hospitality Gifting program, including Event Production operations, Logistics, Guest Communications, Finance, Legal, Commercial Experiences and Stakeholders and Custom Groups
  • Maintain administrational requirements to manage contracts including reporting and data entry requirements, processing of invoices via finance systems, input and maintenance of stock management/inventory systems and general admin and filing.
  • Contribute to departmental reporting, plus monitoring and management of agreed milestones and task management.
  • Actively participate in the event time management of the Amenity Program, including the management of the distribution of the Gifts via Guest Hotel and Hospitality Suites which will involve working closely with the Logistics and Event Production Teams on the preparation and coordination of the distribution of gifts to the guests.
  • Adherence to On Location policies and procedures and maintenance of records in readiness for internal audits, performance, and compliance measurement ensuring a robust procurement process and competitive pricing.

You Have These:

  • Fluent Business/conversational French and English required.
  • Bachelor's degree in hospitality, Sports Management, Business or a related field, or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Experience in a similar position (minimum of 3+ years), preferably in Global Events and Operations including Olympic Games and/or FIFA World Cup and/or other Global Events
  • Exceptional people skills a collaborative style and ability to communicate effectively at all levels with strong oral, written, and presentation skills.
  • Proven experience as a working manager who excels in a fastpaced environment, handles pressure well and is selfmotivated to accomplish assigned tasks timely and efficiently.
  • Proven advanced user level capability with all Microsoft Office Software, specifically Excel & PowerPoint.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills inclusive of presentation skills and ability to build relationships with employees, leadership, and external business associates at any level.
  • Continually strive for selfdevelopment and discovering better means of accomplishing both personal and professional goals.
  • Ability to work with and support others in a positive way.
