    Environment of work

    As a Sustainable Development Project Manager, you will join the Sustainability team within the Industrial Automation Business Unit of Schneider Electric, a recognized leader in the field of sustainable development.

    The Industrial Automation (IAu) business portfolio includes programmable logic controllers (PLCs), human-machine interfaces (HMIs), variable speed drives, supervision and control software, and industrial cybersecurity solutions.

    These technologies help industries optimize their processes and improve energy efficiency to reduce their environmental impact.

    Industrial Automation's Sustainabiliy team is responsible for deploying and accelerating eco-design practices within the business unit in order to reduce the impact of products (decarbonization, reduction of resource consumption and circular economy) in line with Schneider Electric's strong commitments.

    Roles & Responsabilities

    You will be part of an international network of around 40 people based in various hubs (USA, China, Japan, Germany, etc.).
    • Collaborate with program leaders in defining and implementing their programs: net-zero commitment, green packaging, green materials, life cycle assessment (LCA).
    • Contribute to carbon footprint calculations and 2030 trajectory modeling.
    • Lead Industrial Automation's broader Sustainability community and deploy an internal communications strategy (sharepoint, intranet, videos, webinars).
    • Lead the deployment of eco-design training (R&D teams, marketing, project managers) and monitor its implementation in the creation of offers.
    Missions may evolve according to the profile and duration of the work-study program.

    Profile

    Diploma: Bac+5 / Engineering / Master's degree

    ideally with a Sustainable Development / Ecodesign specialization

    Contract: 1 to 3 year work-study program (depending on profile) starting in September 2024

    Location: Schneider Electric Horizon site - 8th Street, 06510 CARROS

    Prerequisites
    • Strong interest in sustainable development
    • Fluent English (meeting facilitation and content creation)
    • Strong autonomy, interpersonal skills, teamwork, communication and project management skills.
