Color Artist - Paris, France - Illumination Mac Guff
Description
Create background paintings and color keys which will be used as references by the surfacing and lighting departments.- Might create color scripts.
- Work closely with art director, production designer and directors.
Must have:
- Strong artistic skills in design, painting, perspective and composition.
- Advanced software skills in Photoshop.
- Indepth knowledge of lighting principles and balance.
- Good understanding of volumes.
- Good understanding of cinematography and light staging.
- Understanding of layout and spacing.
- Background in art history.
Nice to have:
- Experience in traditional painting.
- Previous experience on feature films.
About you:
- French and/or English fluency is required.
- Good communication skills and ability to take notes and directions.
- Ability to work within a team, prioritize tasks and meet tight deadlines.
- Available or willing to relocate to Paris (remote work unavailable).
