About the job


Your missions:


  • Ensure operation thanks to a flexible team & maintain of all capabilities in the pilot plant for supporting all R&I Packaging teams in Europe and other regions
  • Cobuild the strategy around pilot capabilities and define the 3 years pilot plant roadmap according to the vision and needs of the EU Packaging Team and Advanced Pack Technology Team
  • Support all H1 projects for Europe zone and other regions through Advanced Pack Technology team
  • Deliver State of art packaging services to advanced techno teams for H2/H3 projects
  • Create, develop, and animate a performant ecosystem (inside and outside DANONE) for delivering project, test new capabilities or even face special events whatever the technology used within EDP, Water and SN categories
The R&I packaging Pilot Manager oversees the packaging pilot plant and guarantee the operation of the capabilities all along the year (Human & Equipment)


His role is also to lied with the different R&I Europe Packaging HUBs & R&I Advanced technologies teams to ensure the good realization of the trials requested to the pilot plant.


Your main responsibilities are:


  • Schedule and deliver on time the requested trials coming from Europe Packaging HUB / Advanced Techno (Pack and Material) and other services (Quality / Industrial)
  • Be accountable for the task completion at the packaging pilot plant.
  • Deliver prototypes, small quantities for consumer test according to the brief.
  • Anticipate schedule issues and propose rules of priorization and alternatives
  • Maintain safe work area according to WISE2 rules within Danone (Culture and 12 basics) and drive actively WISE2 audits
  • Be accountable of the maintenance plan of the equipment and any corrective actions


  • Cobuild with CAD

  • CAE team a recommendation to the requester of the project (pack engineer in EU HUB or Advanced Pack Team) for best chance of success to launch the product on shelves.
  • Be in charge of the budget (running costs) by asking for quote and following compliance of the supplier (TPV) and the order (One Buy)
  • Be a part of the pilot plan network to stay connected and share best practices
  • Participate to the internal and external communication of the pilot plant and be responsible of the pilot's visit including VIP
About you


Your profile:


  • Minimum 10 years of experience in the FMCG industry, in the field of packaging. Ideally in operations.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in team management.
  • Experience in project management and matrix organization

Your Skills:


  • Technical expertise in packaging design (knowledge of different plastic materials: PS, PET, PP, PLA... and paper / cardboard, knowledge of the different technologies to manufacture packaging (ISBM, EBM, Thermoforming, labelers, end of lines, cashers, film makers, etc.
  • Knowledge of packaging lines in Danone factories in all categories.
  • Knowledge of packaging regulations in the food industry.
  • Knowledge of tools and methods to develop and evaluate packaging with a consumer experience superior to the competition. (UX methods, DTSV.)
  • Knowledge of regulations and developments on the recyclability of materials, etc.
  • Project management and ability to meet deadlines
  • Managerial skills with a strong interest and motivation for the development of people.

The IDDC One Packaging division will be responsible for:

  • Define the packaging briefs in agreement with the local R&I teams in each CBU.
  • To be the guarantor of the creation of unique consumer experiences and an indisputable superiority over the competitiveness, the expected functionalities of use and the adequacy of the brief visàvis the ambitions of sustainable development and circularity.
  • To be support for the definition of roadmaps related to the transformation of packaging towards 100% circularity and new uses (Reuse, etc....)
  • Lead the implementation of the sustainable development roadmaps for packaging in each CBU and at the European level and coordinate at the European level all projects for better efficiency and rapid transfer of knowledge at the local level.
  • Manage the design of the models up to the complete packaging solution and the launch of the first production achievements to achieve superiority in value for the consumer
  • Be responsible for the validation of the food safety of pack
