Department Profile:_


The Senior Credit Analyst will report to the French Head of Credit as part of the Bespoke & Structured Loans Department.


The aim of the Department is to build a strong performing portfolio of loans to SMEs and Real Estate companies across Europe.

After sourcing of a deal opportunity by Origination team, the Credit team shall:

  • Analyse, prepare and present credit cases within the bank
  • Manage relationships with borrowers
  • Review loan documentation together with the legal team
  • Draft term sheets and engagement letters
  • Anticipate any credit deterioration through active monitoring of borrowers using digital technology
  • Participate in workout strategies together with the workout team
The role is based at RiverBank's French branch and located central Paris (8thdistrict).

Primary Responsibilities:_

  • Analyzing, preparing and presenting credit cases to the Credit team and to the Credit Committee
  • Supporting and interacting with the Credit and Sales teams in the analysis of new deal opportunities
  • Taking an active role and participating in negotiations and in borrower relationships
  • Reviewing legal documentations together with the Legal team
  • Participating in the portfolio and borrower companies monitoring

Skills required:_

  • Degree in Finance, Economics or Business Administration
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role at a bank or private debt fund
  • Knowledge of loan products and/or bonds and French law
  • Strong analytical and writing skills
  • Excellent numerical and financial modelling skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Fluent in French and English (knowledge of an additional language would be an asset)
