    In the role as HR Manager, France you will contribute to our purpose of Bringing People Closer.

    The Team you will be part of

    By joining us in developing our HR function you will be overall responsible for HR in France (app. 100 FTEs), with the extended responsibility stretching to emerging markets in Africa. With support from the global HR community, you will work independently, however, you will not lack company as your contact base stretches throughout France and global HR.

    Based in GN in Rungis, but also covering GN office in Élancourt, your work will evolve around two key aspects:

  • Supporting local management teams across GN Hearing and GN Audio, optimizing on synergies across and be the sparring partner on all HR-related topics.
  • Securing operational and legal compliance, handling our high-volume employee life cycle activities within the French markets.
  • Your contribution is appreciated, and you can expect to take on the following specific responsibilities:

  • Lead HR in the country across legal entities
  • Take responsibility of the day-to-day HR function, ensuring operational success, follow-up on the global annual HR wheel, and driving alignment and initiatives to meet business objectives ( recruiting, talent management, employee and leadership development, workers council collaboration, HR administration, tracking of HR budget, annual HR processes, etc.).
  • Drive cross company culture initiatives in the country, in collaboration with the leadership teams, by shaping and driving the people agenda and creating a positive employee experience through embedded HR initiatives, change management and communication.
  • Ensure collaboration, involvement, and alignment between global and local HR processes by working closely together with the global HRBPs and the Centers of Excellence (CoEs)
  • Act as the HR sparring partner on all HR-related topics by serving as a HR partner and trusted advisor to leaders and management.
  • Lead and drive local business transformation from a HR perspective to increase organizational efficiency.
  • Responsible for the country's HR roadmap and setup, including review and continuous improvement of all processes, systems, and tools as well as policies, programs and documents within HR to ensure compliance with all layers of governance (federal, state and local employment and labor laws) as well as aligning towards company strategy, benefits and culture.
  • Be an active driver of change towards continuous improvement and standardization across the country when it comes to benefits, systems, practices, processes, tools, and contracts.
  • To succeed in the role, we imagine that you bring;

  • Extensive HR experience
  • Knowledge of French employment law and HR experience working in France. Familiarity from working with countries in Africa is seen as an advantage.
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to negotiate and mediate in various HR-related situations, resolving conflicts and reaching mutually beneficial agreements.
  • Capacity to analyze problems, provide effective solutions and proactively address issues and implement preventive measures, especially in complex and sensitive situations.
  • Cultural awareness
  • Ability to prioritize and balance both soft and hard HR-tasks
  • Experience in Workday or a similar HR system
  • Some experience in being part of both recruitment and interviewing processes.
