As a Purchasing Digitalization Apprentice,
you will play a pivotal role in our organization's journey toward data-driven excellence to elevate our reporting processes, break down data silos, and empower strategic decision-making.


Reporting to the Purchasing Excellence Digitalization Project Leader, you'll collaborate closely with the Indirect Purchasing Director and Purchasing Data Owners.


Your main activities will be:


  • Work with the Purchasing Data Owners to understand the intricacies of our data landscape from a business perspective.
  • Streamline and industrialize siloed Excel tables, by assisting in the identification of sources of truth.
  • Assist in the transition from manual reporting processes to automated solutions, propose automation paths for manual data crunching.
  • Assist in defining a roadmap for enhancing the Purchasing reporting processes.
  • Dive into the intricacies of Ariba's purchasingtopayment (P2P) process. Identify user pain points and map out efficient buying channels.
  • Work with stakeholders to ensure seamless navigation within the Ariba platform, smooth implementation, and user adoption.
  • Define process to be followed by buyers to settle and deploy contracts, catalogs, and marketplaces within Ariba.
  • Liaise business requirements and technical execution with IT Business Analysts.

Qualifications Educational Background**:


  • Bachelor's degree in Purchasing, Finance, Controlling, Economics, Engineering, or Data Sciences (or related fields)
  • Engineering or business school student

Soft Skills:


  • Analytical Thinking: Ability to assess data and identify trends.
  • Proccess-Oriented: Ability to understand, visualize and sketch the flow and steps of an activity/proccess.
  • Communication Skills: Effective communication for liaising with stakeholders.
  • Collaborative Mindset: Willingness to work as part of a team.
  • Problem-Solving: Proactive approach to addressing challenges.
  • Interest in Digitalization: Enthusiasm for leveraging technology to enhance processes and user experiences.
  • Eagerness to learn and grow within the field of purchasing.

Know-how:


  • Knowledge of Excel (advanced), data mindset, writing skills.
  • English: Fluent (working language).
  • SQL, Python, Power BI: Familiarity is a plus.
