Job Purpose:


Reporting to the Senior Manager Validation and Compliance Group as a Lead Compliance Engineer, who will be responsible for supporting Li-Ion NPI activities.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Create validation plans to ensure all regulatory, certification, customer and internal requirements are met for a product
  • Work with UL/Intertek/CSA to achieve Listings and Recognitions of Products
  • Work with internal engineering teams to create required documentation for certification
  • Work with test houses to schedule testing
  • Support running changes of product lines and deviations including feedback on potential impacts to certification

Qualifications:


Essential Qualifications & experience

  • B.S. degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related technical field.
  • 7+ years of experience working with an NRTL
  • Experience in leading and managing a crossfunctional team in product development

Preferred Qualifications:


  • 3+ Years of Lithium Battery Testing and/or Certification
  • Experience leading certification with UL/Intertek/CSA
  • Experience with stationary battery systems

Skills Requirement:


  • Previous experience of working with Li-Ion Technology is essential.
  • Familiar with UN38.3, UL1973, UL2580, UL9540, UL9540A, IEC62616 test standards.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office program suite.
  • Detailed report writing skills.
  • Previous experience of delivering measurable results in a busy environment.
  • Experience of working with crossfunctional teams to achieve objectives.
  • Good communication skills and able to liaise across all areas of the business.
  • Knowledge of health and safety standards.
  • Demonstrate a high degree of safety practices in the workplace.
