As a Fabric Manager, you will be in charge of buying the fabrics for the Show collections, Pre Collections & capsule men and women.
As such you will ensure the follow up of the developments launched by the Head of Fabrics to the mills, place the fabric orders to the mills, make sure the fabrics are delivered on time for the PD to be able to launch the prototypes and do a smooth handover with the production & Quality Team.
You will manage 7 persons in the fabric team: 4 fabric buyer + 3 assistant
On top of that, manage the Stock, team of 3 persons.
Main tasks will be:
BUYING :
Buy the fabric, ensure the follow-up development launched by head of fabric, place the fabric order to the mills accordingly.
Make sure fabrics are delivered on time for the PD to be able to launch prototypes.
Be able to make some proposal of substitution fabrics if needed.
In order to cover merch needed, be able to do commercial fabric proposal in the respect of head of fabric vision.
Be proactive to find some solution, to give as much as support as possible to the PD (archive fabrics, or Loewe production stock).
Follow-up the fabric quality according to the Loewe standard, from collection to production Flag when fabric width too small, when fabric price too high, when embellishment too expensive, in order to respect PD and merch needs
Negotiate the price if needed in order to satisfy merch request before the prebuy.
Manage the collection budget according to the initial budget. Do feedback every week, and flag if overspending. Be able to do projection with the remaining budget for the coming fitting, when possible.
You will need to respect the Deadlines to fill in the technical informations on the Boards/ Fabric books and PLM for the rest of the team.
STOCK:
You will also be in charge of supervising the stock room manager. As such you will manage:
Follow all the stock team and anticipate the pick of activity in order to initiate any necessary support. You will be in charge of allowing or not the re inforce of the Stockroom with some interim taking into consideration the business needs.
Make sure the stockroom is optimised in terms of space, that the stock is updated on JDE for everyone 's visibility and send back fabrics to make space.
BUDGET:
You will be responsible for the management of the Fabric budget for the show, pre collection and Capsules Collections. Report the figures every 2 weeks to head of development plus everymonth to Finance, make them any alert that are necessary.
PRODUCTION:
You will be the first contact to liaise with the production team and Quality team for handover and Alert on all the fabrics that need to be tested and solve any issue for the production team.
PREBUY
Be proactive for the pre buy is crucial, alert in term of development, leadtime production.
As such you will also take part in any meeting with the PD, merch and designer to make sure there is as much transparency as possible.
