Position Overview:

We are looking for our Legal Counsel for the Paris 2024 Olympics and Paralympics.

This will be someone who is ready to join us in turning our passion into action, someone who welcomes the challenges of working on one of the biggest events in the World, is very creative and has strong agility skills, someone looking to change things, and is passionate about sport, the Olympics and Paralympics.


Function Related Activities/Key Responsibilities:


Provide legal advice, support, and draft agreements

  • Structure, advise, draft, negotiate agreements for the Games, including the preparation, tracking, and reporting on all contracts for the Games. This will notably include supply and licensing agreements.
  • Provide legal advice and support on legal issues relevant to the Games, such as intellectual property, employment and immigration laws, environmental and sustainability laws, and marketing and promotions
  • Research, analyse and interpret proposed and existing laws, statutes, and regulations
  • Identify, monitor, and address issues of legal risk
  • Structure, draft, negotiate and/or approve relevant legal policies and other documents, and ensure compliance with relevant legal policies
  • Create standard templates to ensure the efficient delivery of legal services to the Games

Ensure regulatory compliance

  • Represent and advocate for the organization in litigation, arbitration, mediation or other disputes with courts, government agencies, or other legal authorities
  • Ensure the organization gains regulatory approval for products and product amendments; and maintain product licenses and permits
  • Ensure the organization is aware of and compliant with legislation and regulations relevant to the Games
  • Monitor and interpret regulatory developments and determine the impact on business operations and compliance programs
  • Implement any relevant compliance programmes
  • Ensure required regulatory reporting and documentation, including gathering data, preparing, reviewing, and/or approving regulatory compliance documents
  • Identifying and remediate regulatory breaches
  • Monitor, advise on and report intellectual property infringement and ambush marketing

Liaise with internal and external stakeholders

  • Establish and maintain excellent working relationships within the Games team, the Assets team, the Coca-Cola business and legal function, and Coca-Cola Europacific Partners France
  • Build and maintain excellent working relationships with the Paris 2024 OCOG (Organising Committees for the Olympic Games) and the IOC (International Olympic Committee)
  • Build and maintain excellent working relationships with Outside Counsel, and maintain budget for Outside Counsel and all other external legal fees

Leadership

  • Participate as an active member of Coca-Cola's Paris 2024 Leadership Team
  • Play an active part in contribution to the agenda, discussions and decision making of the Leadership Team
  • Demonstrate Coca-Cola's Leadership values and Growth Behaviours

Education Requirements:


  • Qualified lawyer, and ideally qualified in France

Speaking French and English is a must have**:

  • ** French legal qualification or knowledge or French law is desirable
