The overall purpose of the position is to assist the Soletanche Bachy Group HSE Director in the improvement of the Health & Safety performance and culture across the business as a whole (over 50 subsidiaries worldwide).

This role reports directly to the Soletanche Bachy Group HSE Director.

Specific responsibilities

Contribute to the creation and maintenance of a safe an environmentally sound workplace within Soletanche Bachy by establishing common standards and practices in the Group.
Engaging with the HSE staff worldwide and lead them to improve the safety culture and the SB Group standards
With a focus on positive change, demonstrate to others your knowledge and experience around H&S "Best Practice" and legal compliance within the industry, and instill a culture of continuous improvement.
Establish a regular contact including formal visits, H&S system audits and meetings in the Business Units as required.
Disseminate all the Soletanche Bachy Group's HSE directives, best practices as well as driving all actions (specific campaigns, training, common tools) for the Group
Participate as required to SB Group initiatives and events such as the CAS meetings (3 times a year), Group HSE seminars (every 2 years) and various working groups
Consolidate H&S statistics and manage the SB Group reporting by ensuring reliability of data.
In the event of major accidents or incidents, assist the Group HSE Director in the investigation process and assist the local BU or projects as required.
If required, actively liaise with other companies of Soletanche Freyssinet and VINCI Construction (i.e. seminars, HSE working groups, etc.) ensuring Soletanche Bachy is adequately represented
Possess an Engineering background in HSE or Industrial Risks (Bac+5).
13 years work experience in Health & Safety

- is fluent in both spoken and written French & English (mandatory requirement); Spanish is a preferable requirement but not mandatory.
