The Global Alliance for Trade Facilitation team of ICC is currently recruiting a Public Sector Partnership Advisor to monitor development assistance trends and identify funding opportunities from the public sector.

The Global Alliance for Trade Facilitation team of ICC is currently recruiting a
Public Sector Partnership Advisor to support its Global Partnerships Lead by monitoring development assistance trends, identifying funding opportunities from the public sector.

The role is based at ICC's International Headquarters in Paris.


The role

  • Research, identify, and support outreach activities with potential nonbusiness partners to mobilise resources and establish new partnerships for the Alliance
  • Work with the Partnerships team as well as others in Alliance to draft and execute the Alliance's outreach strategy
  • Receive guidance from the community engagement specialist, collaborating closely to enhance engagement with public sector stakeholders and international organisations in Geneva, focusing on the Alliance's role in trade facilitation
  • Draft, monitor and contribute to the execution of the Alliance's resource mobilisation strategy
  • Work with the Partnerships team to engage Alliance and ICC initiatives and network of businesses, national committees and chambers of commerce
  • Support and attend relevant internal and external events and prepare necessary materials (e.g., agenda, presentation decks, etc.)
  • Conduct desk research, prepare background briefs and use project management databases to map donor strategies, funding windows, trends in development assistance and other relevant developments
  • Track international events related to trade facilitation to maximise visibility of the Alliance and identify engagement opportunities
  • Work closely with Head of Global Partnerships and Community Engagement Specialist to strengthen relations with multilateral institutions
  • Provide support in event management, ensuring effective organisation and representation of the Alliance at various events, whether initiated by external invitations or internal

Requirements:


  • University degree in political science, international relations, economics, international trade, or a closely related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience of building relationships with public sector stakeholders
  • Experience of working through CRM systems
  • Ability to understand complex stakeholder relationships both in developing and least developed countries and within the multilateral sphere
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, preferably in an international context
  • Outstanding organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities under pressure with a 'cando' problemsolving attitude
  • Motivated selfstarter who enjoys working in a highly collaborative environment
  • Excellent critical thinking skills and high attention to detail
  • Knowledge of trade, logistics, and customs processes is desirable
  • Keen awareness and sensitivity to cultural differences and organisational structures
  • Fluent English. Spanish and French would be assets
