As part of BV Solutions M&O's strong international development, we are looking for a Maritime Energy Transition Engineer to strengthen our team in Nantes (France).


BV Solutions M&O is a leading provider of marine engineering and services, providing engineering, inspection services, site supervision and project support.

Our clients are ship owners and shipyards, oil companies and offshore engineering companies. Our office in France has 40 engineers and a turnover of around 5 M€.

Express your talents
You will be working in our META team (Maritime Energy Transition Advisory) specialised in Energy Efficiency, Energy Transition, and Naval Architecture and your main tasks will be to:

  • Carry out consultancy studies for the decarbonisation of maritime transport (fleet strategy, carbon emission indices, improvement/optimisation)
  • Carry out energy modeling studies for ships in order to validate new technical and operational solutions (sailing, new fuels, etc.)
  • Participate in R&D projects
  • Contribute to the development and outreach of our services
This position can quickly evolve you into a role of project manager or technical expert.

You hold an engineering degree from a Major School (Ecole Centrale, Mines Paris, ENSTA Paris, ENSTA Bretagne, etc.).

You have a strong sensitivity to the challenges of the energy transition.


You are motivated by the contribution you can make to the maritime world so that it is respectful of the environment and people.


Required skills:


  • Energy or Naval or Environment specialisation
  • Scientific programming language
  • Energy modeling
  • Project management

Other skills expected:


  • First experience in a design office
  • Naval architecture
  • Knowledge of carbon footprint and life cycle analysis appreciated
  • Double degree, business oriented
You are dynamic, rigorous, organised and a good team player.

You speak and write English fluently.
