Your New Role


The EMEA Spare Parts Supply Chain Manager is responsible for all tactical supply planning, network fulfillment, inventory management, as well as the logístical activities related to the outbound deliveries to field engineers, customers and Ortho Affiliates.

The EMEA Spares Supply Manager will support and develop processes, while partnering with regional/global stakeholders, to deliver customer service excellence, while limiting backorders and meeting inventory targets.

This position will use planning systems to drive efficiency and effectiveness in the supply planning process.

The EMEA Spares Supply Manager will provide leadership to his / her team as well as lead effective partnership with 3PL warehouse and carriers.


What you'll be doing

Spare Parts supply planning:


  • Responsible to establish the appropriate supply planning processes, parameters and master data to achieve spare parts fill rate and inventory target levels.
  • Optimize inventory levels to meet customer service, business continuity, and cost objectives throughout the distribution network linking suppliers, customers, distributors, and warehouses.
  • Coordinates product availability, issue management and resolution, working with all appropriate functional areas of the company on mitigation tactics.
  • Closely interface with Field Engineers organization to understand market dynamics, and to synchronize strategy, align on key initiatives and optimize local service & cash flow performance
  • Partner with the Global Planning organization to effectively coordinate various situations/initiatives (e.g. Last Time Buy, End of Life, Repair part process, Inventory excess management, Obsolescence/substitution, )

Spare Parts distribution:


  • Responsible to establish the appropriate distribution processes to achieve timely processing/distribution of orders to Regional Field Engineers, Customers, Distributors and QuidelOrtho Affiliates.
  • Manage 3rd Party Logistics warehouse to deliver the requested service level, drive business reviews and improvement plans.
  • Support 3rd Party Logistics warehouse internal audits, cycle counts, yearly master data updates and annual rates negotiations.
  • Review Annual Operating Plan (AOP)/Budget for 3rd Party Logistics warehouse, including warehouse operational costs, freight costs, and carrier duties & taxes.
  • Monitor service parts nonproduct complaints and implement corrective actions

Management:


  • Develops annual Business Plan, develop strategies to achieve / exceed targets and monitors monthly performance (incl. expenses authorization, invoices control, logistics & freight costs)
  • Understand business issues crossfunctionally and communicates the consequences arising from tradeoffs concerning SC activities as well as proposals to ensure business goals are met
  • Building effective relationships and partnering crossfunctionally to develop solutions to a variety of problems
  • Identify, structure, prioritize, initiate and lead process improvements where appropriate
  • Provides leadership, management, supervisory support and guidance to the EMEA Service Part Supply Chain team on all technical, business and people related issues. This includes all aspects of people management, training and development

Compliance:


  • Ensures that processes are implemented that meet QuidelOrtho as well as local regulatory requirements
  • Complaint handling
  • Establish and maintain quality documents and quality system

What you'll need to succeed

  • Master degree or equivalent preferably in Supply Chain, Logistics or Engineering
  • Mandatory 7+ years' experience in a Supply Chain or technical equipment support organization
  • Managerial experience 12 years
  • Planning experience required
  • Spare parts experience preferred
  • Strong customer focus and results oriented
  • Strong planning and organization capabilities
  • Leader, as well as a good team player
  • People management skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • At ease in an international environment, open minded approach
  • Fluent in English both written and spoken
